Oliphant's Anthem

commemorates the recent acquisition of sixty cartoon drawings, sketchbooks, and illustrations by one of America's foremost editorial cartoonists. This exhibition also documents Oliphant's efforts to refine his style through prints, painting, and sculpture that have kept his art fresh and sharpened his commentary. (Library of Congress)

Interesting Fact:

Oliphant won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1966, just two years after he left his native Australia for an American career. He is considered among the most gifted practitioners in the history of the profession.
