Korea: The Unfinished War

examines the "forgotten war" that almost led to World War III. When communist troops of North Korea crossed the 38th parallel on June 25, 1950, the U.S. and later the U.N. joined forces with South Korea to stop the invasion. The Soviet Union and China supported North Korea in the three-year war, which claimed 54,246 American lives. This website offers a radio documentary, interviews with veterans and historians, and information about integrating the military.
