Mars Exploration Rover Mission

provides images and updates on the two Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, which landed on Mars in 2004. Videos and text depict the challenges of getting to Mars: testing the rovers on Martian terrain, launching the rovers, navigating their flights, bringing them into the Martian atmosphere, landing them, and getting them out of the lander cocoon.
